	We will employ transmission and reflection geometries to study diffraction from thermal phonons in solids. Systems of interest include Ge, LiF, amorphous substrates, quasi-crystals, SrTiO3, and some layer materials that are known to undergo CDW transitions. We will also study surface reconstructions of Si(111)-(7x7) and C60 covered Si(111)-(7x7).
