Previously we measured CXD images from a (100) superstructure reflection of a $Cu_3Au(111)$ thin film using a 3$\mu$m square beam. The diffraction was diagonally streaked in a way that we understand to be connected with the oblique scattering geometry. We were happy to find the image to be static on the time scale of hours, once the monochromator feedback was turned off. We found there to be large intensity structure in the (unfocussed) incident beam. We request time to study this further, as a function of monochromator settings, for example. Finding out where this comes from will allow us to design a better beamline in the future. We would also like to measure other samples with domain wall arrays. We have crystals of La-doped PMN (PbMgNbO_3) and PZN (PbZnNbO_3) ready. The domain wall structure in these may be connected with the relaxor ferroelectric behavior of these materials. equipment+required: Huber diffractometer and spec. Unfocussed Si(111) monochromator. Undulator. experiment: Coherent Diffraction from Domain Wall Structures name: Ian Robinson new+request: on nonmembers: station: 33ID-D unacceptable+dates: before March 30. Would prefer time from April 7-12. #QUERY_STRING: #REMOTE_HOST: robinson.mrl.uiuc.edu #REMOTE_ADDR: 128.174.103.133 #CONTENT_LENGTH: 1429 #HTTP_REFERER: http://www.uni.aps.anl.gov/unireq.htm #HTTP_USER_AGENT: Mozilla/4.03 [en] (Win95; I ;Nav)
