# # arev:/usr/local/unicat/unireq/beamreq/req00011.txt # UNICAT Member Beam Time Request #11 # created Tue Feb 24 14:32:37 CST 1998 # days: 6 description: Two separate experiments will be performed. The first will be Small angle scattering on metal alloys previously used in SRO measurements at UNI-CAT (October). The second will be an extension of micron resolution spatially resolved diffuse scattering in ion implanted Si that was initiated in the Feb 9-15 run time. The small angle scattering will utilize a 2D ccd camera and the microbeam measurements will again use the zone-plate lense system. We anticipate accomplishing both within a 6 day run. equipment+required: Besides equipment supplied by ORNL, we will need the Huber and the normal detection system available at UNI-CAT. experiment: Small Angle and Microbeam X-ray diffuse Scattering name: G.E. Ice and B. C. Larson nonmembers: station: 33ID-D unacceptable+dates: Because of the LA APS meeting and inelastic scattering beam time at X21 NSLS for Larson and Tischler (March 25-April 1), we appear to be able to use only the April 7-12 slot. It is possible that the small angle scattering could be split off (Ice and M%26C lead) for a different time from the microbeam (Larson %26 Solid State lead) time. With the experience from last time, we believe we can do a microbeam experiment in 3 days if only such a slot is available. (I (BCL) will call to discuss). #QUERY_STRING: #REMOTE_HOST: larson.ssd.ornl.gov #REMOTE_ADDR: 128.219.23.253 #CONTENT_LENGTH: 1406 #HTTP_REFERER: http://www.uni.aps.anl.gov/unireq.htm #HTTP_USER_AGENT: Mozilla/2.01 (Macintosh; U; PPC)
