description:
	X-ray absorption experiments will be performed on a series of UOP
	catalysts in order to gain familiarity with operation at the APS.
	Specifically we will attemp to collect EXAFS data on Mo (20.0 keV)
	and Nb (18.98 keV)K-edges of some oxidation catalysts, and at the
	Ag (25.5 keV) K-edge of a Ag exchanged zeolite in transmission
	at room temperature.  In addition we plan on attempting some
	fluorescence EXAFS measurements on relatively dilute materials
	e.g. low metal loading (Pt) on high surface area alumina.    

equipment+required:
	Huber slits, 3 ion chambers with Keithley amplifiers,
	V-F converters, scalars, etc. i.e. all equipment
	necessary for room temperature EXAFS experiment.
	For fluorescence EXAFS experiments - displex.
