Specifically we will try to run a direct comparison to data collected at NSLS. We will collect data in both transmission for more concentrated samples, begining with a few reference foils, and also in fluorescence on more dilute samples. We envision trying Pt L3-edge (11564 eV) EXAFS and Sn K-edge (29200 eV) EXAFS. However, the specific elements (catalysts) studied will be tailored to the current optimized performance of the ID line. equipment+required: Huber slits, 3 ion chambers with Keithley amplifiers, V-F converters, scalars etc. i.e. all equipment necessary for EXAFS experiment. experiment: EXAFS Studies of Catalysts hazards: There are no perceived safety hazards with this experiment. Samples will either be in the form of metal foils or powdered catalysts that are non-hazardous. Data will be collected at room temperature in air. name: Simon R.
