In our most recent beamtime allocation, we observed scattering and images from deformed polycrystalline copper. Images from transverse samples showed clusters of creep cavities localized within polygonal boundaries, while images from longitudinal samples showed strings of large cavities perpendicular to the tensile axis. Next, we need to explore stereo imaging, optics removal scans, Q-scan images, and possible zone-plate magnification. equipment+required: Request the use of an additional rotation (from existing) for stereo imaging. Would it be possible to borrow a zone plate for these measurements? experiment: USAXS imaging, and feasibility studies foreign+nationals: none hazards: No hazards are associated with the samples, which are polycrystalline copper and single crystal aluminum. name: Gabrielle long nonmembers: All UNICAT collaborators. station: 33ID-D unacceptable+dates: August 8 - 30.
