We now propose to investigate, in situ, assemblies of surfactant-mediated nanoparticles in a sample configuration that will more easily permit an interrogation of the time-dependent dynamics of interparticle interactions. Specifically, this will involve the use of thin-walled quartz capillary tubes containing nanoparticle suspensions that will permit the study of spatial distributions. We also propose to devote one full day to work with the BIO-CAT liquid-flow cell in order to test the suitability of its design for future USAXS studies along these lines. equipment+required: Standard USAXS configuration at upto 17 keV (depending on quartz wall thickness).
