In the cathode, these phases are given, respectively, by lathanum sttrontium manganite (LSM), yttria-stabilize zirconia (YSZ) and the void system. We propose ASAXS studies around the Sr K-edge and, if necessary, the Y K-edge, in order to differentiate at least the void/YSZ and void/LSM interfaces. We hope also to infer infomation on the LSM/YSZ interface and to characterize the scattering morphologies. equipment_required: experiment: Triple Phase Boundaries in SOFC Materials foreign_nationals: Jan Ilavsky, XOR hazards: None instrument: 33ID-D SRUSAXS instrument_other: Regular USAXS geometry MAY suffice but anomalous needed. minimumdays: 4 name: Andrew Allen new_request: ON nonmembers: Jim Ruud, GE Corporate Research, Jan Ilavsky, XOR unacceptable_dates: June 6 - 10, June 24 - July 12 definitely, - July 16 possibly. z34ID_details: #REMOTE_HOST: porcelain.nist.gov #REMOTE_ADDR: 129.6.180.24 #CONTENT_LENGTH: 1211 #HTTP_REFERER: http://www.uni.aps.anl.gov/unireq.htm #HTTP_USER_AGENT: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Mac_PowerPC)
