	Recent experiment on the self-affline surface morphology of deformed Cu metals by AFM has been explained in terms of a fractal distribution of plastic strain. We propose to perform microbeam experiments on deformed single and polycrystalline Cu crystals to determine if plastic strain distribution within the deformed samples is in agreement with the proposed model.
