It had been previously thought that an insulative coating on silver nanocubes had been the cause of their mobility. The immobility of alumina nanocrystals calls this into question. Various preparation procedures will be performed on alumina nanocrystals to determine the cause of nanoscale motion and angular diffusion of nanocrystals in an x-ray beam. equipment_required: KB mirrors experiment: Angular diffusion of alumina nanocrystals foreign_nationals: hazards: instrument: 34ID-C coherent instrument_other: minimumdays: 6 name: Mengning Liang nonmembers: unacceptable_dates: March 21-25 z34ID_change_undulator: yes z34ID_details: No z34ID_parasitic: no #REMOTE_HOST: diren-912-vine-175.flexabit.net #REMOTE_ADDR: 64.198.212.175 #CONTENT_LENGTH: 839 #HTTP_REFERER: http://www.uni.aps.anl.gov/unireq.htm #HTTP_USER_AGENT: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3
