description:
	Diffuse scattering from superconducting YBa2Cu4O8 will be studied with anomalous scattering method at the Cu K-edge. Our previous measurements uncovered the temperature dependent diffuse scattering other than the thermal diffuse scattering due to phonons that involves Cu atoms. This could be the signature of the electronic inhomogeneity in the system suspected but never proven so far.
