This is the place in Q space never studied before, and it is possible that a hidden diffuse peak exists there. Observation of this peak will completely change our view on the metal-insulator transition in doped Mott insulator. We will use thin foil of BiSCCO single crystal, to be mounted in a displex, and use the 4-circle geometry with Kappa goniometer. It will be useful if we can use a two-dimensional detector, but this is not absolutely necessary. equipment_required: displex, 2-d detector experiment: Superlattices in superconducting cuprates foreign_nationals: Ferenc Stercel, Konstantin Lokshin, Cinzia Metallo hazards: No hazards expected. instrument: 33ID-D kappa instrument_other: minimumdays: 3 name: T.
