Mn catalysts EXAFS (Mn K- edge 6539eV) scan using transmission and fluorescence detectors. 2. Black oil sample, Vanadium K-edge (5465 eV) and Ni K-edge (8333 eV) in fluorescence. 3. Ti substituted zeolites, EXAFS at Ti K-edge(4966eV). 4. ZrPt metallic glasses. EXAFS scan at both Zr K-edge( 17998eV) and Pt L3 edge(11564eV). equipment_required: Lytle detector experiment: XAFS studies of catalyst materials and metallic glasses. foreign_nationals: hazards: 1. Mn2O3, Mn(II)TFA , Mn(II) acetate tetrahydrate, Manganese (II) fluoride, Manganese (II) carbonate Trifluoroacetic Acid (TFA) The TFA is very strong acid. The samples will be prepared in the hood of the chemical lab. The samples will be diluted in the TFA and sealed in the special cups(Kapton film on front and back ) and carried in the container to the beamline. The sample will be prepared by the UOP specialists and proper PPE will be used. Other materials: Ti-mordenite PQ (0.29 wt% Ti) Ti-mordentite Sud Chemie (0.25 wt% Ti) Ti-UZM-14 (0.23 wt% Ti) Black oil samples ZrPt metallic glass alloys. instrument: 33BM-B XAFS instrument_other: minimumdays: 4 name: Ning Yang nonmembers: Matthew J.
