THe wires of III-V semiconductor are grown by CVD on Au nanoparticles which determine their size. CXD will see slices where the 'pancake' shaped diffraction intersects the Ewald sphere. This will be the introductory experiment for Steven Leake, who is starting his PhD on the project. equipment_required: experiment: Structure of nanowires foreign_nationals: Steven Leake hazards: Samples all prepared externally, brought to ANL and removed afterwards instrument: 34ID-C coherent instrument_other: minimumdays: 4 name: Ian Robinson new_request: ON nonmembers: submit: Submit unacceptable_dates: Best dates are Nov 1-4 z34ID_change_undulator: no z34ID_details: z34ID_parasitic: yes #REMOTE_HOST: visitor1.phys.ucl.ac.uk #REMOTE_ADDR: 128.40.8.121 #CONTENT_LENGTH: 883 #HTTP_REFERER: http://www.uni.aps.anl.gov/admin/unireq.html #HTTP_USER_AGENT: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
