Internal symmetry may be the reason for the problem. This can be overcome by measuring diffraction from OVERLAPPING regions of the sample and using the redundancy as a constraint on the phasing. THis method, called X-ray ptychography is particularly well suited to domain wall structure. The method is also well suited to Quantum Dot strctures. We have a sample of GaInAs QD's which will be a backup if the Cu_3Au fails for any reason. equipment_required: KB mirrors experiment: X-ray ptychography of domain wall structures foreign_nationals: hazards: All samples will be prepared outside ANL and removed afterwards. instrument: 34ID-C coherent instrument_other: minimumdays: 4 name: Ian Robinson new_request: ON nonmembers: submit: Submit unacceptable_dates: before March 20 and after April 18 z34ID_details: Need to stay below Cu edge and possibly tune through it to gain contrast.
