Several different supported Pt particles (1-5 wt % of Pt, on carbon and on alumina) will be studied in a home-built, in-situ EXAFS cell in the temperature range of 100 to 700 K. The temperature will be controlled by liquid nitrogen and resistive heating element. The following gases are used: 4 % hydrogen, 100 % hydrogen, 20 % oxygen, 100 % nitrogen and 100 % helium. A flash arrestor and a flow restrictor approved for H2 will be connected from the 100 % hydrogen cylinder. Only stainless steel tubing will be used for all gas lines. equipment_required: experiment: EXAFS studies of supported metallic nanoparticles foreign_nationals: Joo Kang hazards: instrument: 33BM-B XAFS instrument_other: minimumdays: 4 name: Joo Kang nonmembers: submit: Submit unacceptable_dates: *** This is a request for run 2007-02 *** 07/01/2007-07/08/2007; on or after 8/12/2007 z34ID_details: #REMOTE_HOST: nuzzopc16.mrl.uiuc.edu #REMOTE_ADDR: 130.126.102.167 #CONTENT_LENGTH: 1204 #HTTP_REFERER: http://www.uni.aps.anl.gov/admin/unireq.html #HTTP_USER_AGENT: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; InfoPath.1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727)
