The sample was a thin (20nm) ferromagnetic Fe3O4 film on BTO (001) substrate. BTO has a tetragonal to orthorhombic transition at ~280K. On passing through this transition a large effect on the magnetic signature of the film was measured. We propose to investigate the film structure around this temperature. We plan to measure the temperature dependent out of plane lattice length along with the in plane lattice lengths.
