This arises from the random positions of the stacking faults along the length of the wire. Since these wires are longer than the beam, inversion of such diffraction patterns to a real space image of the faulted wire is computationally difficult. Ptychographic methods have been shown to solve this problem by measuring coherent diffraction from overlapping regions. I will attempt to apply these methods to the 1d case of the faulted nanowire. equipment_required: experiment: 1d ptychography from faulted GaN nanowires foreign_nationals: hazards: instrument: 34ID-C coherent instrument_other: minimumdays: 3 name: Ross Harder nonmembers: submit: Submit unacceptable_dates: z34ID_change_undulator: no z34ID_details: Parasitic operation at a reasonable beam energy(9-11kev) will be fine. z34ID_parasitic: yes #REMOTE_HOST: cxd1.xor.aps.anl.gov #REMOTE_ADDR: 164.54.125.56 #CONTENT_LENGTH: 1055 #HTTP_REFERER: http://www.uni.aps.anl.gov/admin/unireq.html #HTTP_USER_AGENT: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_4; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.2 Safari/525.20.1
